Pharmacies likely will be able to buy a month’s supply for a few dollars, but don’t expect them to pass all of the savings to consumers, said David Marley, president of Pharmacists United for Truth and Transparency, a nonprofit group that advocates for small retailers.

“The chains will knock down the price [to $30 to $50 a month]. The consumer will think it’s a great deal, but they don’t know it only costs the pharmacy three bucks,” Marley said.

“People can get it a whole lot cheaper if they check out the little guys. Nobody should be paying more than $20 or $30 for a 90-day supply” within a few months after May 31, Marley said.  Read More…
